ReplyDeleteThe patrols reach the top without a problem, and the flag was raised, for the first one. There were six men raising the second flag. The names were Ira Hayes, Franklin Sousley, and Michael Strank, and Rene Gagnon, John Bradley, and Harlon Block, and killed on Iowa Jima.
